The most reliably wrong SCOTUS Justice, perhaps ever, has died. RBG needs to be shown the same mercy as was shown Scalia by the left when he died.

Yet it’s odd that in an avowed Culture War, with our enemy avowing our destruction, many praise the enemy’s dead general.

GOP Cucks Or Man’s Up?

The GOP cucks or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, the left will be distracted all the way through election day fighting a losing battle against Trump’s pick (I volunteer my services). It will create a wave of ennui and reduce their turnout. It is therefore the best strategy.

Which is probably why the GOP will cuck. Cucking is all they know. This will force the election to be in large part about SCOTUS, which will energize the left, at least somewhat. Biden’s handlers will have to say who they’d pick without saying who specifically.
Would they be tempted to say “It’s time we had a transman transblack transable transsane Supreme Court justice!”? Sure would please the lunatic, which is to say, new left. The legacy left won’t dare squawk, even if they suspect this is so much persiflage. The sane on the right would believe it, though, and turn out in larger numbers.

Which means Biden’s handlers would probably have him say “We can’t let Trump pick”, and leave it vague.

Ginsburg Was Evil

Stenberg v. Carhart Gonesburg argued, in effect, that a Nebraska law banning partial birth abortion violated women’s rights. He argued stressed the baby would be “nonviable”, an academic term having no meaning regarding life. If the baby is dead, it can’t be born, and its corpse can morally be removed from its mother. If the baby is not dead, allowing it to partially squirt out its mother so that its throat can be cut by a quack is murder. Which RBG was in favor of.

United States v. Virginia The Virginia Military Institute allowed only men, but Gonesburg, evidently anxious to inflict women on the military, said male-only colleges like VMI violated the Equal Protection Clause. The next time we saw reasoning as poor as this was Gorsuch (a “conservative”) discovering trannies in the Constitution.

Obergefell v. Hodges During arguments which discovered yet another hidden “right” in the Constitution, Gonesburg said “Marriage was a relationship of a dominant male to a subordinate female”. But she said it as if it were a bad thing. However, it was the appalling Kennedy (a “conservative”) who wrote the majority opinion.

Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Gonesburg wanted the avowedly Christian company to violate its convictions and pay for employee’s contraception products. Because they are employers—and because Gonesburg hated children, we can only suppose. This was one she lost, however.

The number of “equality” cases RBG argued for are without number. She did more damage here than anywhere else. One of her more infamous quotations is “Sex, like race, is a visible, immutable characteristic bearing no necessary relationship to ability.” This is false, even laughably false. But it is desired to be true by many, and desire outweighs truth often.

    Nothing’s going to happen until after the election. The RINO caucus won’t let it happen. Perhaps the best possible outcome would be that Collins and Alexander might vote to confirm (Murkowski and Romney have already said no) and then Pence could break a tie, but I highly doubt that is even an option.

    Politically, it might be good for Trump’s chances to name a replacement but hold off on formally submitting it until after the election, but that’s not the way the constitution is supposed to work and it’s taking a chance on something that’s incredibly vital.

    That being said, do you think if the places were reversed, the dems would hold off if they they had both the senate and the presidency? You think ANY of the current democrats today would have pledged in advance not to vote for whomever Obama threw out there to replace Scalia? Hell no.

    It’s cucks all the way down in the GOP and this is a perfect example of what people mean when they say the dems want to win more the GOP.

    As far as Ginsburg goes, there wasn’t an ounce of principle in her shriveled up body. All she cared about was the result, the legal reasoning always came second. Did she ever break ranks and vote with the other side on a split decision on a big case? Never. Her vote was always in the can when they needed it.

    To be fair, there were a handful of times she did switch sides in some lower profile cases, but do you know what she was voting for every single time? A bigger more intrusive state. Expanded power of the government.

    As usual, the issue that rises to the top is abortion. 63 million dead babies in the US alone since RvW. Trending down, which is good, but still in the 800,000 per year range. There will be 5 to 10 times as many abortion deaths as there will be ChiFlu deaths this year (depending on who is counting the latter).

    RBG was a baby brain sucker. Brigg’s description of partial birth abortion is imprecise. The babies’ throats are not cut. A hole is punched in the baby’s skull while in the birth canal and then her brains are aspirated. Regular forceps cannot be used to remove the dead baby because her cranium is shrunken from her brains being sucked out. A tool more akin to vice grips are used. Then the dead baby is placed on a plastic sheet and gutted open so her organs can be removed and sold to people who wish to “experiment” with them. But not for a profit — that would be wrong, a sin against Karl Marx. The rest of the carcass is thrown into a bio-hazard bag and disposed somewhere, in the trunk of the abortionist’s car in some instances.

    The degree of sheer evil is unfathomable to most people. They can’t get their brains around it (ha ha, a joke, get it?). Yet that is what RBG claimed was a “right” enshrined in the US Constitution. A right for a pregnant minority woman (or girl) and for the abortion industry, but not for the babies.

    People forget that our first Black Muslim president made his reputation by promoting partial birth abortion in Black inner city neighborhoods.

    RGB’s death is not something to celebrate. That would be perverse. But it is something to be thankful for. Her work on this planet was grossly evil. May her memory and her ilk be forever condemned.

A shame to see so many GOP cucks already bailing on confirming a Replacement before election, but this is why they always lose even in times when they’ve had control of Presidency and both houses of Congress (I said for years then that the GOP should have expanded the Court and pushed through a handful of nominees explicitly dedicated to overturning Roe and other egregious precedents. Anything introduce chaos in the system and explode the notion that the Court is not political but some neutral arbiter of transcendent legal principles would be good).

    We know what the Dems would do in in control of Senate (and what they will do if they get the Presidency and Senate again) so the GOP should not hesitate one bit to use its power now. The mistake they made in 2016 was claiming that refusing to vote to confirm Garland was a matter of high principle in an election year that should be some sort of permanent election year standard (Graham even said in an interview post-2016 that if a vacancy occurs in 2020 they’d wait until after election – the kind of milquetoast cuck response that again ensures GOP loses). They should have simply portrayed it as what it was – a pure smash-mouth politics power-play. Obama didn’t have control of the senate and the votes needed then, they did, so too bad for Barry. The GOP may (iffy because of sweasels like Murkowski, Romney, et al.) have the votes now, so too bad again for the Dems if they can get a Trump nominee through before election. Enough of the GOP playing nicey-nicey “our norms and procedures,” Frenchist BS. Time to go for the throat.

    The Democrats are already threatening more riots and mayhem if they loses the election, and have ramped up the terror blackmail language in the wake of RBG’s death if Trump “even tries” to nominate a replacement. The GOP must not give in to this blackmail effort to prevent them doing the job they were elected to do.

    The only saving grace is that RBG was the most extreme Left justice, so even if Biden gets to pick her replacement it won’t change the balance of the Court, yet. The real problem will come if GOP loses Senate and Presidency and the Dems either try to pack the court through expansion, or Biden just gets a replacement or two down the road from the loss of a current more rightward justice.

    That’s why I’m wondering if, under the circumstances, it might be a wiley and mind-blowing move for Trump to nominate Merrick Garland as a sort of hedge against GOP losing Presidency, Senate, or both. He’s not an ideal GOP nominee by any means (but how have Gorsuch, Roberts, and others through the years turned out? 50-50 at best), but he’s not as extreme Left as RBG was, or her Biden-Harris appointed replacement would be, so it would still result in a relative shift of the court center-right, staving off a worse disaster. It would also have the merit of allowing us to watch Democrat heads explode! If they opposed him, it would just expose the Left as the unprincipled opponents of absolutely anything at all Trump does, no matter what, even re-nominating Obama’s own pick. Could be a win-win proposition perhaps. And it’s the kind of crazy counter-intuitive political move Trump revels in – and that might work.

    Hoping all is well with Jesus Christ and you, Mr. Guerra. I have seen that kind of language before, and that one who used it, did not, perhaps could not, say the Name of Jesus Christ due to influences. The names used, were “the Light of the World”, “the One”, “God”, and such like, but not the Name of Jesus Christ.

    If all is well, then the paragraph ought to read:
    “….we belong to God Who is Love… and Who is: Ipsum-Himself Bonus-Good… subsistens-substance-essence…. to God Who alone is good as Jesus Christ told to us.     I thought the “dying wish” thing was a clever move on RGB’s part. But then I remembered how the libs pestered her to retire when Obama was in office, and she was having none of it. Her refusal to retire was a pleasant surprise at the time, given her poor health; thankfully, she had a selfish streak and put her personal desires ahead of the long-term success of her ideology. Viewed in that light, her dying wish rings hollow – motivated by guilt, she was trying to have it both ways, after the fact.

    Trump should definitely put up a nominee before the election. His base will be demoralized if he doesn’t, and if he can get his nominee confirmed before the election, it will be an atomic bomb attack on lib enthusiasm.

    I agree with Sheri – the “burn the whole thing down” is comically stupid. I’d contribute to a GoFundMe campaign to buy matches. And as far as a war, that would only happen if the rioters dared tread outside their coddling zone. Even then, their numbers are so minuscule it would be a very short war.

    No, there is no constitutional argument against it. Plenty of justices historically have been nominated and confirmed during election years, some even during lame duck sessions post–election but before the next inaugural.

    But, keep in mind that President does not “appoint” a Supreme Court justice, but nominate one who must be confirmed by the Senate (the part Democrats seemed to forget when they got into such a tizzy in 2016).

    My thoughts? Oh I didn’t care for RBG’s politics. She helped the Supreme Court legislate licensed gay marriage. And regardless of whether you’re fine with gay marriage or not, or whatever your stance might be, it matters not when it comes to honestly interpreting the Constitution. It was a very unconstitutional move on her part along with the majority in the Supreme Court to make gay marriage into law. Nothing in the Constitution grants a right to licensed gay marriage or straight marriage as far as that goes. But if you’re a leftist that doesn’t care about the Rule of Law, then you think that the Supreme Court ought to operate as superseding legislature and not as interpreter of the Constitution. And yes, she was pro-abortion as you note Briggs, which again, isn’t granted by the Constitution and is something that should NOT be legal within any republic or ordered government.
