Fat Anorexics; Knife-Happy Doctors; Weak Women Warriors; More! — Return Of The Week In Doom

Due to underwhelming demand…the temporary return of The Week In Doom. I have a backlog of doomable material. Each ITEM is post-worthy, but the rate of increase in new items is outstripping my ability to keep up. As the man said, motu in fine velocior.

FEEL SAFER?

FAT’S WHERE IT’S AIN’T

Item: Tess Holliday reveals she is anorexic: Plus-size model says she is ‘healing from an eating disorder’ after years of ‘punishing her body’

Tess Holliday has revealed that she is ‘anorexic and in recovery’ after decades of struggling with body image and backlash over her weight.

The 35-year-old, who found fame as a plus-size model and a positivity activist, took to social media over the weekend to open up about her eating disorder in response to her growing frustration with people commenting on her weight and health.

‘I’m anorexic and in recovery. I’m not ashamed to say it out loud anymore,’ she tweeted. ‘I’m the result of a culture that celebrates thinness and equates that to worth, but I get to write my own narrative now. I’m finally able to care for a body that I’ve punished my entire life and I am finally free.’

Prediction: more and more “physicians” will begin to say obesity is healthy.

DOCTORS ARE EXPERTS

Item: The AMA says anyone who opposes transgender mutilation of children is “dangerous”

James Madara, CEO of the American Medical Association (AMA), issued an open letter to the National Governors Association calling all legislative efforts to stop the transgender mutilation of children “a dangerous government intrusion into the practice of medicine.”

According to Madara, permanently altering a child’s hormones with pharmaceutical chemicals and surgically altering their private parts “are normal variations of human identity and expression” that should not be interfered with by government officials.
As with all medical interventions, physicians are guided by their ethical duty to act in the best interest of their patients and must tailor recommendations about specific interventions and the timing of those interventions to each patient’s unique circumstances,” Madara’s letter further contends

Mauling children for profit, and for the insane fun of it, is now “dangerous”. Says the country’s biggest medical establishment.

Prediction: see previous prediction about “doctors”.

THE WILD RAINBOW YONDER

Item: The Air Force Is About To Lower Its Already Low Standards

To prove that those moves would not reduce standards, the Air Force commissioned a recent study on the issue.

Amazingly, the follow-on report showed no correlation between GPA and the potential for a student to graduate from flight school. Not excel at flight school – but just to graduate. With a near 100 percent graduation rate, did the Air Force really need a study to come to that conclusion?

To compound the issue, those with previous flying experience are now seen as having an unfair advantage, so the Air Force is removing flight time as consideration for certain types of candidates.

Say, did ya ever hear that quotas always, absolutely always, lead to a lowering of standards?

There was also news of the Army’s first all sodomy-loving helicopter crew, though I lost the link. Yes, this was a real story touted by the military. What enjoying sodomy has to do with flying helicopters was never explained.

There is another another lost link of how women are still failing the Army’s New & Unimproved! lowered fitness standards, including quotes of the less able calling for Equity. The only way to reach this is by removing all physical fitness standards.

Speaking of that, this, the slickest propaganda yet produced for the military. It’s called (appropriately) The Calling. “See how five young Americans made the most important decision of their lives, for reasons as diverse as they are.”

See especially the video of Emma, a girl, raised by two delusional women, who finds her life’s calling in killing foreigners with missiles.

Diverse, defined in this context, means non-white male. I don’t know what the military will do when southern white boys stop joining. Or are stopped from joining. On the other hand, maybe an all-Diverse force will be just what the government needs to quell the threat of White Supremacy.

WHITE IS RIGHT

Item: Biden officials testify that white supremacists are greatest domestic security threat

Attorney General Merrick Garland and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas lie their scranwy butts off with a real suavity, it must be admitted.

Again I ask, how will baizuo (white leftists) will on the streets identify themselves as non-whites?

RE: “Mauling children for profit, and for the insane fun of it, is now “dangerous”. Says the country’s biggest medical establishment.”

Shouldn’t that read : Opposition to the mauling children for profit, and for the insane fun of it, is now “dangerous”. Says the country’s biggest medical establishment.

“Again I ask, how will baizuo (white leftists) will on the streets identify themselves as non-whites?”

I’m sure the AMA will have an answer soon

Then there was “Black Like Me”

Then there was Michael Jackson’s “White Like Me”

Didn’t Doom used to arrive on Wednesdays?

  2. White men really are the greatest threat to those seeking to destroy America, who are better known as the Democrat Party. To the Democrats, traditional Americans are the enemy who must be first silenced then liquidated.

Oh come on Briggs, the Good Whites can be easily differentiated from us Bad Whites by their golden glowing halos and the obvious way they float above us, in their own elevated realm. And their effluent smells of roses. And then there’s the open and sincere looks on their faces, like dopey puppies. No Briggs, it’s plain as day the Good Whites are different, and are going to be receiving special treatment from our enemies.

Fat has been around a long time and sometimes it goes hand in hand with midgets.

By covering their faces with black masks.

White women will wear a full body black niqab.

A leftist relative and I were discussing a local news story about a “healthy” teenage girl who was 250 pounds and couldn’t have been more than 5 foot 8. (That’s more than I weigh, and I’m a 6 foot 4 man who is a somewhat pudgy). Said relative got extremely upset with me even saying that she was overweight or hinting that she might not be in the best health. “Weight is just a number, you have to consider the whole picture” he said. He also suggested that if her parents tried to put her on a diet that would be child abuse, since it would cause her to develop anorexia which would be far more dangerous than her weight level.

  7. Eric Morrison

What does Tess model? She looks like her job would be stress-testing bridges for maximum capacity loads. I can’t even see how she’d travel to photo-shoots without a C-130 cargo plane. Maybe she’s a body-double for the blimp in Goodyear Tire commercials? You can bet that building inspectors won’t let her live in a home with a basement because of the danger of falling through the floor.

Mercifully, I’m sure that she doesn’t model at the beach because of the danger of causing tsunamis or being an illegal wave-breach. Not to mention the craters in the sand that she’d leave could cause dune-buggies to flip over or get stuck.

” Good Whites can be easily differentiated from us Bad Whites by their golden glowing halos and the obvious way they float above us, in their own elevated realm. ”

Or as the Z man says Good Whites are the cloud people and bad whites are at the dirt people. I do love my garden.

I missed “The Week In Doom”, but I didn’t need to see that horrible landwhale.

“Prediction: more and more “physicians” will begin to say obesity is healthy.”

This has been a trend for years. HAES and a network of HAES positive physicians.

That is awful news, the open letter by the CEO of the AMA. Think the pastor story will turn out okay … such witness to Jesus!!! And hoping Tess receives Jesus’ peace and healing as needed.

DoPay attention whenever one is asking for or receiving or being given advice by medical personnel. And be certain to check online for all of the side effects of medications that are prescribed.

A certain case: the complaint was very extremely painful sciatica by a seventy plus year old person. Tremendous nerve pain she tells to the doctor during a phone visit. He responds that he knows she would use an opiate judiciously, but if he prescribed it for her, he would have to file copies under his name with the feds, state, and more. He sounds extremely concerned about the filing. She lets it go.

He does recommend a med for nerves, and she, assuming he means sciatica, she says fine. When she goes to fill it, she looks up the side effects and lo and behold, one of the side effects is that this med can cause glaucoma, so the directives say to check with your eye doctor first.

The doctor in the main of this story, has the information that the patient’s biological male father, one of her biological female sisters, and one of her biological male brothers have glaucoma for which they use drops daily. But, apparently her doctor did not check the side effects??? He ordered an MRI for her, but as she was not ambulatory due to pain … she could stand for maybe 10 to15 minutes … forget sitting for a drive to anywhere … she canceled it.

So, she does not fill that prescription for that reason, plus she learns that that particular medicine is for nerves, anxiety, etc. and not for sciatica. She took a leap of faith, and added to the aspirin already being ingested, the Regular tylenol … which she had never, up u til then, taken in her whole long life … making certain that she did not go above 2,000mg. a day of aspirin and the same of Regular tylenol.

She endured much pain, but it did ease often. So nice. Good days and hard days stiil, but Jesus says “I will heal you.” Who is she to quibble with such Good News from Him Who knows how it will all turn out!!

In this day and age, watch out for yourself!!
    God bless, C-Marie

    C. Marie,
    For what it’s worth:
Sciatica is not a ‘sentence’ / condition in it’s own right. That’s important for her to understand.
There are a myriad of causes even though many are similar in appearance.

Understanding ALL of the history and subjective information from her is the key to sending her on the right path. Medication is not bad per se, and there isn’t only one option re medication.

The best thing for her patient is movement, however small to start with. A patient physiotherapist who’s not being directed like a puppet by a Dr but one someone autonomous Send them to Australia or England! Avoiding sustained or static postures is a good idea for all nerve related pain unless there is an express reason to be still which is rare to almost a non existent situation. Normally related to clearly diagnosed instability into which category she by your description does not fit.

There’s not only one kind of medicine which is appropriate for a given situation.
The MRI is not essential although patients and some Drs think they are. (Assuming a proper assessment is carried out and there are no red flag signs.

MRI’s are helpful if there is a suspected ‘surgical target’. That is, if there’s likely to be a decision made on the evidence of the MRI which indicates intervention or to rule out serious pathology. If she’s in severe constant pain which does not improve, THAT is grounds for an MRI, not sciatica in general.

MRI helps patients to feel better as they feel someone’s actually seeing or understanding what’s wrong. That on it’s own helps the pain.

If it’s a source of frustration or sadness that she didn’t have an MRI then it’s worth having a prescription from the GP for something a bit stronger to enable her to reach the hospital for the scan. The usual drug of choice is diazepam at a low dose for the duration of the procedure. One or two pills of the type prescribed for fearful fliers.

The likely outcome in the absence of serious pathology is a list of degenerative changes which don’t necessarily line up with symptoms experienced. In other words, not a great help. I hope whoever it is finds the assistance and facilitation they need. Drugs aren’t the only answer, Even surgery is part of a bigger picture when indicated.

If she isn’t frightened of water, hydrotherapy is a good idea. Not swimming, just being in water and walking in chest heigh water for five minutes only.
I don’t think physio is the same animal in the US. Shame.

    Good news:
Glaucoma is now treated with laser treatment. *reliable source with Moorfields London Hospital training. Indications are now that the outcome is the same after five years as for using eye drops to control pressure.
So the ones with hereditary glaucoma will be better managed in the future => less damage to the eye and better outcomes.
Let’s hope the person knows that already!

Re side effects on eyes? Personally I have taken medication which is known to cause a potential retinal damage, after a >ten year struggle, with another problem that had already caused considerable vision loss. Discussed with a consultant haematologist who had never witnessed the side effect in his twenty years even though it was listed in BNF. He agreed that the potential benefit was greater than the risk. Had already reached the point where I was willing to take the risk as the eyesight was suffering anyway. So, it depends on the situation and duration of the medicine in question. Careful listening ears and sensible logical clinical decision making isn’t necessarily a given, unfortunately.

Joy, Eye Wonder if this will work

Aye, I see Eye Hospital and odd R2D2 impersonator with plumbing (?) tools.
Q: Does an Eye Hospital have an Eye See You?

  16. Joy

Fabulous! Dav! someone with a sense of humour amidst the madness
I resist the temptation, which is immense, to talk about darkens

OOOH, I so want to correct your sci-fi feaux pas as if I didn’t know you did it on purpose!
You’ve gotta love the sink plunger…terrifying (truly)

  17. Joy

    darkens? spellchecker? darleks
Do jokers wait in the comment box the change comments for japes?

  18. john b()

    Joy

    Briggs’ enemies are yours

    Daleks

  19. DAV

    Joy,
Never watched Doctor Who much but Daleks, of course .
Forgive my Darkened sense of humor.

  20. Joy

    Dav it was funny
R2D2 WOULD dress as a Dalek if he were pretending to be from the dark side

Why are robots so sweet when they don’t look like people

Why are darkens so terrifying and funny at the same time? The shape is imprinted then,
    the voice!
    Davros, from Greece

  21. Joy

    Johnby
the enemy in the comment box thing is real, from this end

Put me out of my misery, is it a joke? or are there really not just imagined meddlers afoot?
Briggs is joking, I think they’re really there! Am I wrong?

  22. Uncle Mike

I for one am glad the chubette blamed “the culture” for her eating disorder instead of farmers, as others are wont to do.

  23. Joy

the error was of course the R which the spell guesser thought ought to rather be darkens
Like the one the other day “dimmlemen” when I actually wrote “muddlement”
Enemies…yes but you don’t expect them to come so close the the house!!!
Your dodge leaves still room for suspish’ and I can tell when people are joined in a secret that they must not tell the children…like Santa…you know when you’re being hustled. Talk about double treble bluff.

Anyway, that nobody want to talk about it is all I need to know
They just need to pick on someone who’s not going to drop them in the clag as I am won’t to do
One more thing, cos it’s on my mind…
Someone! left a brand new pink gingham kitten collar on the patio at our house in Essex…no whay it c ould have got there unless dropped by an eagle. It was fastened
Whoever it is needs to find a better way to be scary. I’m over it

  24. Joy

    see? “middlemen” not ‘muddlement’

  25. Joy

Uncle Mike, the farmers are beyond reproach

Yet I felt sorry for the girl despite the unfortunate picture
Didn’t read very far though, in case she’s guilty of some more terrible sin than being unhappy

    Happiness is an inside job
