The Week In Doom — Sacrificed Sheep Edition

Item Transgender no longer recognised as ‘disorder’ by WHO

Transgender health issues will no longer be classified as mental and behavioural disorders under big changes to the World Health Organization’s global manual of diagnoses…

A World Health Organization expert said it now understands transgender is “not actually a mental health condition”.

Human Rights Watch says the change will have a “liberating effect worldwide”.

In the latest manual, called the ICD-11, gender incongruence is defined as a marked and persistent incongruence between a person’s experienced gender and assigned sex.

In the previous version – ICD-10 – this was considered a gender identity disorder, in the chapter entitled mental and behavioural disorders.

Dr Lale Say, a reproductive health expert at the World Health Organization, said: “It was taken out from mental health disorders because we had a better understanding that this was not actually a mental health condition, and leaving it there was causing stigma.

“So in order to reduce the stigma, while also ensuring access to necessary health interventions, this was placed in a different chapter.”

This Doom is a couple of months old, but I just noticed it. It falls into the declining standards caused by Equality-Diversity mania. Even what it is to be crazy is not what it used to be.

Item ‘RailRoad’ activists discuss prison abolition at teach-in

Student activists gathered to discuss prison abolition at a teach-in on Wednesday night, bringing forward their concerns with the prison-industrial complex and proposing ways to move toward its eventual disintegration.

“Prison Abolition 101” was organized by RailRoad, a student collective that works within the University and with local organizations to radically change the justice and prison systems to move toward “a world where the Prison Industrial Complex has been destroyed,” according to their Facebook page…

“The end goal is to not have prisons as any form of incarceration,” said RailRoad member Grace Austin ’23, while presenting at the event. “Punishment at any stage doesn’t guarantee any kind of growth.”

Replacing jails by, say, canings is a good idea. Eliminating all punishment whatsoever (except again Nazi white supremacists, of course), is an idea that can only have arisen from academia.

Notice that this is universalism, carried to this life. Universalism is the idea that all are saved, that God would not dare punish anybody because that would make him mean. Same thing here.

Item Opinion: Ford v Ferrari depicts a ‘car guy’ generation best left dead and gone

During all 152 minutes of the film, men dominate the screen for 98% of the time. And when I say men, I mean white and straight

Attacks on whites continue to grow. All whites are racist by definition, thus white supremacists, and white supremacists are Nazis, and killing Nazis isn’t murder, it’s mitzva.

Item Conservative insiders say Scheer, party need to evolve on LGBTQ issues

Two Conservative strategists say both the party and leader Andrew Scheer need to modernize their approach to social issues if they want to convince more Canadians to vote for them.

In an opinion piece published by the Globe and Mail on Wednesday, long-time Conservative strategists Melissa Lantsman and Jamie Ellerton said Andrew Scheer’s “visible discomfort” with issues like same sex marriage during the recent election campaign warrant serious introspection by the party. Ellerton also managed Scheer’s road tour during the election and served as a spokesperson for the campaign.

“For the Conservative movement to grow, unequivocal support for LGBTQ people cannot be up for debate,” they wrote.

They said the party “should consider breaking from the past” and adopting “a more contemporary conservatism that resonates more broadly across the country,” adding that LGBTQ rights “ought not to be a question at all.”

This is why conservatives lose—in democracies. The majority is always “right”.

Item SPLC Condemns “Radical Traditional Catholicism”

“Radical traditionalist” Catholics, who may make up the largest single group of serious antisemites in America, subscribe to an ideology that is rejected by the Vatican and some 70 million mainstream American Catholics.

Adherents of radical traditional Catholicism, or “integrism,” routinely pillory Jews as “the perpetual enemy of Christ” and worse, reject the ecumenical efforts of the Vatican, and sometimes even assert that recent popes have all been illegitimate. These groups are incensed by the liberalizing reforms of the 1962-65 Second Vatican Council, which condemned hatred for the Jews and rejected the accusation that Jews are collectively responsible for deicide in the form of the crucifixion of Christ.

Radical traditionalists are not the same as Catholics who call themselves “traditionalists” — people who prefer the old Latin Mass to the mass now typically said in vernacular languages — although the radicals, as well, like their liturgy in Latin. They also embrace extremely conservative social ideals with respect to women.

E Michael Jones is on the latest SPLC list, naturally. As soon will be every faithful Christian.

These Resurrection denialists are becoming increasingly emboldened, as the next item proves.

Item [Resurrection denialist] Sacha Baron Cohen’s scathing attack on Facebook in full: ‘greatest propaganda machine in history’

This is not about limiting anyone’s free speech….

He said that he found posts denying the Holocaust “deeply offensive”, but he didn’t think Facebook should take them down “because I think there are things that different people get wrong”. At this very moment, there are still Holocaust deniers on Facebook, and Google still takes you to the most repulsive Holocaust denial sites with a simple click…

Maybe it’s time to tell Mark Zuckerberg and the CEOs of these companies: you already allowed one foreign power to interfere in our elections, you already facilitated one genocide in Myanmar, do it again and you go to jail.

Ah, good. Have the ADL decide what is “hate speech” and what is allowed. What could go wrong?

There are lots of Holocaust denial sites, but there are probably more Resurrecion denial sites, and there was no even more important in history than the Resurrection.

Cohen also said “The fictitious Protocols of the Elders of Zion look as valid as an ADL report.” One wonders if realized the meaning of that.

Item Satanic cult fears in New Forest as animals are slaughtered and church sprayed with pentagrams

Three cattle were found with stab wounds in the hamlet of Linwood and two sheep were fatally slashed and marked at Bramshaw village. Satanic symbols were also found daubed on Bramshaw Church.

One sheep was found dead with a cross and a pentagram, a symbol associated with magic, spray painted on to its body…

Days later, Reverend David Bacon discovered an inverted cross and the number 666 had been painted on the door of St Peter’s Church in Bramshaw…

“I’ve been here 15 years and seen a lot of stuff, but nothing like this.

“It could just be kids, but I don’t think it is, given the context.”

You’ll have to replace Christianity with something.

  1. I agree with Heinlein. Jail is only for before conviction. Sentences should be restricted to the whip and the noose.

“Activists” complain that the USA has an enormous prison population. That’s only because we don’t execute nearly enough criminals these days.

  2. Sheri

The WHO is a communist propaganda organization. No one is surprised. They drove a stake into science decades ago. Only complete idiots (and there are a lot) listen to them. The stupid is strong. Plus, spreading perversion has always been on the top of their agenda.

Oh, and THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MENTAL ILLNESS. There are things we drug people for and then things we kill and/or destroy people by promoting. But mental illness is a political term. Illness is VERY, VERY different. (Perfect timing— an asinine commercial for a drug that treats tardive dyskinesia came on. A women soooooo STUPID, STUPID, STUPID she took medication and did not read the label or ask about side effects that may become permanent. SHE DESERVES TO TWITCH AND HAVE TICS FOR THE REST OF HER STUPID LIFE. Instead, she is rewarded with ANOTHER drug that WE WORKING people pay for. No wonder people think mental illness is a way to sell billions of dollars worth of drugs. It is.)

I have no problem with building an electrified fence with guard towers and letting the stupid students live with the felons inside. After the felons kill all the students, they can kill each other. Problem solved. (College students are too stupid to breathe. I expect massive sales of ventilators on campus soon. Extras for the administrators and professors whe are also too stupid to breathe.)

Party needs to evolve=do the way the progressives say or we jail your a**. GOT IT. From the party of tolerance. (Evolving can mean a species goes instinct from stupid behavior—maybe the progressives should rethink that one.) By the way, evolve and support child porn, beheading those who disagree, tossing gays off buildings (you can celebrate LGBTQWERQAERW while tossing the person off the roof), etc. After all, it’s a no-holds barred world, progressives. None of these rights should be questioned at all.

IT’S NOT A MAJORITY ruling anything. It’s a tiny minority.

Catholicism sold out…..Sad, but it happens. Satan often wins.
Satan cults often win. Yes, we have to replace something with something else.

  3. Red Forman

Those anti-prison kids read the books of genesis and exodus, I bet. It’s an elegant legal system….

  4. Nate

I guess you could say I believe in a ‘soft’ universalism. To me, all *can* be saved though the process of sanctification, whether in this life or the next. I pray for the salvation of all, even if some will continue to reject it through all eternity. Why do we punish our children? To teach them. I can’t imagine a Father who *doesn’t* punish His children.

  5. C-Marie

True Catholicism can be denied, but it always will be. Jesus said so.

Suggest the reading of Jesus’ words throughout the New Testament. Several times he clearly says that many are going to Hell: the judgment of the sheep and the goats. the way to Heaven is narrow, the way to Hell is wide, and so much more.

We are to pray for those the Holy Spirit gives us to pray for.

Free will is the amazing gift!! To Heaven or to Hell, it is each person’s choice. Some or many are really, truly, going to Hell. Bishop Barron says we can hope all will go to Heaven…..has he read the New Testament? Does he believe what Jesus said???

    God bless, C-Marie

  6. swordfishtrombone

(Typos: “and there was no even more important in history”, “more Resurrecion denial sites”)

“Even what it is to be crazy is not what it used to be.”

Do you have any self-awareness at all? I ask because it shouldn’t be necessary to point out that for centuries, Christianity labelled mentally-ill people as being possessed by demons.

“There are lots of Holocaust denial sites, but there are probably more Resurrecion denial sites, and there was no even more important in history than the Resurrection.”

There’s no comparison between the Holocaust, which is established with a mass of high-quality evidence, and the resurrection, which is established with no evidence other than claims in the Bible. Not to mention the obvious fact that there’s a significant difference between six million actual deaths and one claimed non-death.

  7. swordfishtrombone

    @ C-Marie,

“Free will is the amazing gift!! To Heaven or to Hell, it is each person’s choice. Some or many are really, truly, going to Hell.”

Free will sure doesn’t sound like an amazing gift if the result is eternal torture for billions. If it’s so important for God not to have his arbitrary rules broken, why didn’t he just create us in such a way that we’re unable to break them, but have freedom of will in every other area?

  8. @swordfish – Name the 6 million. We’ll wait. While you’re working on it, provide the contemporary documentary evidence. We’ll wait for that, too.

  9. DAV

Name the 6 million. We’ll wait.

Are the first five million good enough for you?

Or are you asserting the Holocaust never occurred because the actual number of deaths are only an estimate?

Perhaps you might want to wait until this list is complete. Hey only took 75+ years to get this many. Surely, it will be completed soon.

  10. swordfishtrombone

    @ McChuck,

“Name the 6 million. We’ll wait.”

A despicable comment, even by your exceptionally low bar. I’ll list some names if you can name any of the 500 eyewitnesses to the resurrected Jesus in 1 Corinthians 15:1-11.

  11. Amateur Brain Surgeon

. To me, all *can* be saved though the process of sanctification, whether in this life or the next.

Ahh, the first heresy of Advent…

  12. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Was there a holocaust in WW2? Not bloody likely

    The Holocausts were sacrifices:
Different categories of the bloody sacrifices
    (a) Among the various classes of bloody sacrifice, the burnt offering takes the first place. It is called both the “ascent sacrifice” (‘õlah) and the “holocaust” (kâlil); Septuagint holokautoma; in Philo, holokauston), because the whole victim — with the exception of the hip muscle and the hide — is made through fire to ascend to God in smoke and vapour (see HOLOCAUST). Although the idea of expiation was not excluded (Leviticus 1:4), it retired somewhat into the background, since in the complete destruction of the victim by fire the absolute submission of man to God was to find expression. The holocaust is indeed the oldest, most frequent, and most widespread sacrifice (cf. Genesis 4:4; 8:20; 22:2 sqq.; Job 1:5; 42:8). As the “ever enduring” sacrifice, it had to be offered twice daily, in the morning and in the evening (cf. Exodus 29:38 sqq.; Leviticus 6:9 sqq.; Numbers 28:3 sqq., etc.). As the sacrifice of adoration par excellence, it included in itself all other species of sacrifice. [Concerning the altar, see ALTAR (IN SCRIPTURE).]
    (b) The idea of expiation received especially forcible expression in the expiatory sacrifices, of which two classes were distinguished, the sin and the guilt-offering. The distinction between these lies in the fact that the former was concerned rather with the absolution of the person from sin (expiatio), the latter rather with the making of satisfaction for the injury done (satisfactio).
Turning first to the sin-offering (sacrificium pro peccato, chattath), we find that, according to the Law, not all ethical delinquencies could be expiated by it. Excluded from expiation were all deliberate crimes or “sins with raised hand”, which involved a breech of the covenant and drew upon the transgressor as punishment ejection from among the people because he had “been rebellious against the Lord” (Numbers 15:30 sq.). To such sins belonged the omission of circumcision (Genesis 17:14), the desecration of the Sabbath (Exodus 31:14), the blaspheming of Jahweh (Leviticus 24:16), failure to celebrate the Pasch (Numbers 9:2 sqq.), the “eating of blood” (Leviticus 7:26 sq.), working or failure to fast on the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:21). Expiation availed only for misdeeds committed through ignorance, forgetfulness, or hastiness. The rites were determined not so much by the kind and gravity of the transgressions as by the quality of the persons for whom the sacrifice of expiation was to be offered. Thus, for the faults of the high-priest or the whole people a calf was prescribed (Leviticus 4:3; 16:3); for those of the prince of a tribe (Leviticus 4:23), as well as on certain festivals, a he-goat; for those of the ordinary Israelites, a she-goat or ewe lamb (Leviticus 4:28; 5:6); for purification after child-birth and certain other legal uncleannesses, turtle doves or young pigeons (Leviticus 12:6; 15:14, 29). The last-mentioned might also be used by the poor as the substitute for one of the small cattle (Leviticus 5:7; 14:22). The very poor, who were unable to offer even doves, might in the case of ordinary transgressions sacrifice the tenth of an ephi of flour, but without oil or incense (Leviticus 5:11 sqq.). The manner of the application of the blood was different according to the various degrees of sin, and consisted, not in the mere sprinkling of the blood, but in rubbing it on the horns of the altar for burnt-offerings or the incense altar, after which the remainder of the blood was poured out at the foot of the altar. Concerning the details of this ceremony the handbooks of Biblical archæology should be consulted. The usual and best sacrificial portions of the victims (pieces of fat, kidneys, lobes of the liver) were then burned on the altar of burnt-offerings, and the remainder of the victim eaten by the priests as sacred food in the outer court of the sanctuary (Leviticus 6:18 sq.). Should any of the blood have been brought into the sanctuary, the flesh had to be brought to the ash-heap and there likewise burned (Leviticus 4:1 sqq.; 6:24 sqq.).
The guilt-offering (sacrificium pro delicto, asham) was specially appointed for sins and transgressions demanding restitution, whether the material interests of the sanctuary or those of private persons were injured — e.g. by misappropriating gifts to the sanctuary, defrauding one’s neighbour, retaining the property of another, etc. (cf. Leviticus 5:15 sqq.; 6:2 sq.; Numbers 5:6 sqq.), The material restitution was reckoned at one-fifth higher than the loss inflicted (six fifths had thus to be paid). In addition, a guilt-sacrifice had to be offered, consisting of a ram sacrificed at the north side of the altar. The blood was sprinkled in a circle around the altar, on which the fatty portions were burnt; the rest of the flesh as sacrosanct was eaten by the priests in the holy place (Leviticus 7:1 sqq.).
    (c) The third class of bloody sacrifice embraced the “peace offerings” (victima pacifica, shelamim), which were sub-divided into three classes: the sacrifice of thanks or praise, the sacrifice in fulfilment of a vow, and entirely voluntary offerings. The peace sacrifices in general were distinguished by two characteristics:
    (i) the remarkable ceremony of “wave” and “heave”;
(ii) the communal sacrificial meal held in connexion with them.
All animals allowed for sacrifice (even female) might be used and, in the case of entirely “voluntary sacrifices”, even such animals as were not quite without defects (Leviticus 22:23). Until the act of sprinkling the blood the rites were the same as in the burnt-sacrifice, except that the slaying did not necessarily take place at the north side of the altar (Leviticus 3:1 sqq.; 7:11 sqq.). The usual portions of fat had, as in the case of the sacrifice of expiation, to be burned on the altar. In the cutting up of the victim, however, the breast and the right shoulder (Septuagint brachion; Vulgate armus) had to be first separately severed, and the ceremony of “wave” (tenupha) and “heave” (teruma) performed with them. According to Talmudic tradition the “wave” was performed as follows: the priest placed the breast of the victim on the hands of the offerer, and then, having placed his own hands under those of this person, moved them backward and forward in token of the reciprocity in giving and receiving between God and the offerer. With the right shoulder the same ceremony was then performed, except that the “heave” or “teruma” consisted in an upward and downward movement. The breast and shoulder used in these ceremonies fell to the share of the priests, who might consume them in a “clean place” (Leviticus 10:14). They also received a loaf from the supplementary food-offering (Leviticus 7:14). The offerer assembled his friends at a common meal on the same day to consume in the vicinity of the sanctuary the flesh remaining after the sacrifice. Levitically clean guests, especially the Levites and the poor, were admitted (Deuteronomy 16:11; Leviticus 19 sqq.), and wine was freely drunk at this meal. Whatever remained of a sacrifice of thanksgiving or praise had to be burned on the following day; only in the case of the vowed and entirely voluntary sacrifices might the remainder be eaten on the second succeeding day, but all that thereafter remained had to be burned on the third day (Leviticus 7:15 sqq.; 19:6 sqq.). The idea of the peace-offering centres in the Divine friendship and the participation at the Divine table, inasmuch as the offerers, as guests and table-companions, participated in a certain manner in the sacrifice to the Lord. But, on account of this Divine friendship, when all three classes of sacrifice were combined, the sacrifice of expiation usually preceded the burnt-offering, and the latter the peace-offering.
In addition to the periodical sacrifices just described, the Mosaic Law recognized other extraordinary sacrifices, which must at least be mentioned. To these belong the sacrifice offered but once on the occasion of the conclusion of the Sinaitic covenant (Exodus 24:4 sqq.), those occurring at the consecration of the priests and Levites (Exodus 29:1 sqq.; Leviticus 8; Numbers 8:5 sqq.) and certain occasional sacrifices, such as the sacrifice of purification of a healed leper (Leviticus 14:1 sqq.), the sacrifice of the red cow (Numbers 19:1 sqq.), the sacrifice of jealousy (Numbers 5:12 sqq.), and the sacrifice of the Nazirites (Numbers 6:9 sqq.). On account of its extraordinary character one might include the yearly sacrifice of the paschal lamb (Exodus 12:3 sqq.; Deuteronomy 16:1 sqq.) and that of the two he-goats on the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:1 sqq.) among this class. With the appearance of the Messias, the entire Mosaic sacrificial system was, according to the view of the Rabbis, to come to an end, as in fact it did after the destruction of the Temple by Titus (A.D. 70). Concerning the sacrificial persons see PRIESTHOOD.

Were the crimes committed against the Jews (and them alone) in World War Two a holocaust?

Well, if you think Germans were killing Jews as a act of worship, and if you think that once they sacrificed the Jews the Germans ate them, sure, then it was a holocaust.

Failing that, what happened to the Jews in WW2 was no different than what happened to other victims in WW2.

There is a Holy Holocaust every single day on earth for The Holy Holocaust/Holy Sacrifice of The Mass is being offered somewhere.

Jesus Perfected the Holocaust Types of the Old Testament in His Holy Holocaust on Calvary in His pluperfect self-sacrifice as both Priest and Victim and during which sacrifice His burning love for mankind substituted for the fires of the Biblical Types.

Of course, this truth is rejected by The Messias-Deniers who like to imagine that the suffering of the Jews (and them alone) during World War Two is the worst crime imaginable whereas it is literally impossible to imagine a worse crime than Deicide.

  13. DAV

    Amateur Brain Surgeon,

    Been practicing on your self?

Nothing like conflating homonyms to get your point across. Not very bright in both meanings of the word.

“Holocaust” means “mass destruction”. It also means “a completely destroyed sacrifice”. Wonder what you think “nuclear holocaust” might mean. Just another sacrifice?

what happened to the Jews in WW2 was no different than what happened to other victims in WW2.

What other groups were directly — and not to mention actively — targeted for extinction during WW2 merely for being members by birth? If it was a sacrifice it was the same sacrifice I make when discarding the garbage.

  14. Milton Hathaway

Doom? Maybe, but I found the Ford v Ferrari op-ed in the National Post very satisfying. I didn’t note the author’s name before I read it through, and I assumed I was reading a girly man’s thoughts, which made it all the better. Clearly the author was forced to watch the flick, and was squirming all the way through it – the schadenfreude was delicious.

I’ll take her word for it that Shelby was a pretty flawed man. I don’t care, I didn’t have to deal with him. (But flawed or not, I think I’d much rather spend an evening talking with him than with her!) I’m not a car guy, but thanks to her op-ed (and the link to it here in this blog), the movie is now near the top of my watch list.

Turn it around. Should we *not* hope for salvation for all? I am not saying that all *will* be saved, but that all *can* be should they choose to. The Roman Catholic Hell is not the Gehenna, Hades, or Tartarus (which is only used in 2 Peter 2:4) of the Early Church. Even the concept of Hell and Heaven as ‘spiritual’ places forgets the clear concept of the apostles and church fathers that the resurrection is a *bodily* one. Most Orthodox churches seem to have preserved this tradition and understanding, while some strains of Roman Catholicism have not.

Some Orthodox view ‘eternal torment’ as the bodily resurrection, but with a *separation* from God, which *is* the torment. I might be a heretic on this point, but I believe I stand in good company with other heretics such as Lewis on the question of Hell and redemption from it.

  16. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Dear Dav. ABS referenced the biblical meaning of holocaust but you are ok with the changing secularised definition – sort of like being ok with the change in the meaning of gay and then trying to have a discussion of morality amongst different generations.

Gypsies, sodomites, and other groups not seen as fit for a eugenic society (Germany got its eugenics science from America).

The Messias–Deniers chose holocaust to refer to their suffering (and their suffering alone) because they are racial supremacists much like the Nazis were and so anytime they suffer they claim it is unique in history and they insist all non-Messias-Deniers genuflect to their supremacism and remember it.

If America ever did colonise Mars they’d be labeled as anti-semites if they did not erect a holocaust museum within a decade.

You prolly remming what happened to the Kulaks in The Ukraine, but maybe not, because nobody gives a damn about any other groups targeted for extinction by Commie madmen.

And what of the groups targeted for extinction by Mao, the world record holder for mass killing?

Where are the museum honoring those poor bastids targeted for extinction.

Well, the plain and simple truth is that America is not going too colonise Mars but the Messias-Deniers have colonised your mind.

The Messias-Deniers were not targeted for extinction but were targeted for being moved to another location

  17. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Some Orthodox view ‘eternal torment’ as the bodily resurrection, but with a *separation* from God, which *is* the torment. I might be a heretic on this point, but I believe I stand in good company with other heretics such as Lewis on the question of Hell and redemption from it.

Dear Nate. That is the Apokatastasis heresy

  18. Nate

Apokatastasis teaches that all *will* be saved. Not that all *can* be saved. There is a difference, a difference of free will. You actually hope that some people *won’t* ask God for mercy??

  19. DAV

ABS referenced the biblical meaning of holocaust but you are ok with the changing secularised definition

I’m not changing the “secularised” definition — I’m using the standard one.
Words in English have fluid meanings that change over time.
It’s easy to see how “holocaust” and “mass destruction” mean the same.
At least for anyone smart enough to see the similarities.

    In case you are not,
and the Oxford dictionary places its origin in Middle English.

Why aren’t you also objecting to “mass destruction”?
After all, “mass” has more than one meaning, too.

  20. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Dear Nate. You first wrote – I might be a heretic on this point, but I believe I stand in good company with other heretics such as Lewis on the question of Hell and redemption from it.

A person in Hell is there for all of eternity. A person in Hell can not be redeemd

  21. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Dear Nate. You wrote these words: To me, all *can* be saved though the process of sanctification, whether in this life or the next.

That is the heresy ABS cited

  22. Amateur Brain Surgeon

I’m not changing the “secularised” definition — I’m using the standard one.

It’s easy to see how “holocaust” and “mass destruction” mean the same.
At least for anyone smart enough to see the similarities.

Dear Dav . ABS did not write that you changed the definition, rather, the point is what was written about the holocaust was premised on the types of holocausts in the Old Testament and of which Jesus Christ was the anti-type in His pluperfect perfection on the OT types in His Holy Holocausts on Calvary. That is, what ABS wrote had to do with Old Testament holocausts in its original form and meaning.

It is you who wants to take about other things, not ABS, although ABS is willing to bet you have never – not once in your life – used holocaust to refer to the Holocausts of The Old Testament.

At least for anyone smart enough to see the similarities.

The putative similarities are blind to the truth.

  23. DAV

ABS (a kind of plastic) insists on referring to itself in the third person? Reminds me this fool with a propensity for the same.

Considering the following linked rant, said plastic entity is obsessed with far more than linguistic purity.
As I said earlier, not very bright. Rather dark, actually.

Indeed. Watch out for that door during your exit.

  24. Nate

So… why do Christians bother to say prayers for the dead? If they’re damned, well, nothing to do about it, and if not, why do they need your prayers?

  25. Nate

And again, are you hoping that some people will not be saved? That some will not see the light of god? Are you a Calvinist, believing that some people were specifically created to be damned?

  26. Amateur Brain Surgeon

Nate. Those in purgatory are dead but not damned.

  27. C-Marie

No one was created to be damned. Those in Purgatory are fully assured that they will be in Heaven. We do die to our life in the earth, but we continue to live in the spirit. God bless, C -Marie
